San Francisco is home to many night markets, popping up in various neighborhoods throughout the city. One of the city’s popular night markets is returning this Friday, September 25, with an array of local vendors, free activities, and live performances.
Sunset Night Market September 25

This Friday, the Sunset Night Market will take over 5 blocks in the Sunset with rows of local vendors and live entertainment. The popular night market will run from 5 to 10 pm on Irving Street and is open to all ages. This month’s market will celebrate the Autumn Moon Festival with mooncakes, lanterns, and plenty of fun activities and performances.
The event is much more than a night market; it features live entertainment and fun activities that make it a massive community block party. On the main stage, attendees can expect music, dumpling-making demonstrations, a boxing showcase, and karaoke. Then, a dedicated dance space at the 21st Ave intersection will feature performances from various dance companies. On 24th Ave, look out for the Circus Zone, which will host aerial hoop demos. Finally, you can expect live music on 25th Ave at the Busking Zone.
The night market is family-friendly, with carnival games, a bounce house, a giant slide, and more. Other highlights include crafting and a photo booth. The upcoming market is the third of four installments for 2026, with the next market scheduled for December 11. The market is accessible through Muni on the 7, 29, 28, and 91 lines.
