Every holiday season, several ice rinks pop up throughout San Francisco, drawing in crowds to enjoy the festival activity in major locations across the city, including Union Square. This year, a new seasonal ice rink is opening, and it’s set to be the largest in the city.
Fisherman Wharf Ice Rink
Starting this November, a new ice rink is coming to Fisherman’s Wharf for the holiday season, according to KRON4. The temporary outdoor ice rink will be 6,300 square feet, making it the largest in San Francisco. The rink will be installed on the waterfront, right next to the massive SkyStar Ferris Wheel that has become a memorable landmark on the SF waterfront.
The new rink is set to open on November 4 and run through January 18, 2027. The new rink will have daily skating, lighting, and music for attendees to enjoy. Tickets aren’t available yet, but stay tuned for more details on how to take a spin on the ice.
