The Alameda County Fair has officially kicked off its summer run over in Pleasanton, welcoming visitors for 3 weeks of festivities! Now through July 12th, head over to the fairgrounds for nonstop World Cup watch parties, drone shows every single night, and fantastic food.
The fair takes over the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton from Wednesday through Sunday, lasting until 11 pm each night, so that people can stay for concerts and evening events. It’s the Bay’s ultimate summer festival, amped up with a touch of excitement thanks to monster trucks and great live concerts.
Here’s a quick breakdown of what you can look forward to at this year’s fair:
- World Cup watch parties: The Michelob Ultra Concert Lawn, Crafted Cocktails & Beer Bar, and The Farmhouse will play highly anticipated World Cup matches live.
- Food: From specialty vendors to classic carnival snacks, enjoy a great food selection, including $3 food bites on Thursdays from 1-5 pm.
- Drone shows: Catch a drone show every night at 9:30pm. On June 19th and July 4th, there will be fireworks.
- Carnival rides: Enjoy more than 40 different carnival rides with a carnival wristband bought separately.
- Action sports and shows: Check out monster trucks, Arena Motocross, a Demolition Derby, a Rubik’s Cube competition, and truck and tractor pulls on select dates.
- Concerts: Catch great live musical acts every night, including The Beach Boys, Flo Rida, Boyz II Men, and Elle King.
- Movies on the Lawn: Every night at 6 pm, enjoy a free movie on a jumbotron screen in front of the concert lawn.
- Fiesta at the Fair: On June 28th, the fair will celebrate Chicano culture with a lowrider car show and traditional performances.
- Fourth of July: On July 4th, enjoy great Blues bands all day long and a fireworks show at 9:30 pm.
- Wine Fest: From 2-5 pm on June 27th, the Professional Gardens hosts a summer wine festival with unlimited tastings.
