With the New Year, it’s normal for wellness to be on everyone’s mind, and while we’re sure you’ve seen plenty of gym deals, there are also plenty of other ways to treat yourself as we go into 2025. And now, SF has a new wellness center, specifically a social spa and soon-to-be bath house. Nestled in a busy part of San Francisco is a little outdoor garden complete with cold plunges and a massive sauna.
Alchemy Springs is currently operating the Sauna Garden, an outdoor area complete with individual cold plunge tubs and an impressive sauna. For now, only the garden is open, but the bathhouse is expected to open sometime in 2025. The social spa’s sauna can seat 40 people comfortably, and the outdoor garden is intended as a gathering space for guests to enjoy. The Alchemy’s sauna isn’t the only unique aspect of the space. The spa incorporates social aspects into its programming, encouraging guests to connect during their visits.
As a result, the spa regularly hosts various yoga classes with different instructors. The classes range from the slow flow with meditation to acro yoga, with prices starting at $25. Before or after your yoga class, you can add time in the garden and sauna, exploring the cold plunges, or just sitting by one of the fire pits.
Typical sauna and garden sessions start at $55, and evening sessions are often perfect for relaxing after a long work day. The unique bathhouse aims to promote health and wellness while encouraging social connections and community. Every week, the space hosts “Wellness Wednesday,” inviting different instructors for a 1.5-hour group session starting at 5:30 p.m. After that, you can add a cold plunge and sauna visit to your experience for a total of $90.
The spa is located in Lower Nob Hill at 939 Post St. You can reserve a spot for yoga classes and wellness sessions online.
