If you’ve been counting down the days until the release of the “Barbie” movie, SF’s Barbie Bar Crawl is the perfect way to celebrate the movie’s opening weekend on Saturday, July 22. It’s time to pick out all-pink outfits, channel your favorite Barbie, and of course, add glitter to everything.
The crawl takes place in several well-loved bars in the Marina District, starting at Del Mar on Lombard St. Organizers promise each bar will embrace the Barbie world, including themed drinks and party favors to get you in the Barbie spirit. A costume contest with prizes will provide the perfect opportunity to transform into your favorite Barbie or Ken.
The crawl starts at 4:00 pm and continues until 10:00 pm, although many bars in the neighborhood remain open until 2:00 am. The Marina District, with its charming streets and pedestrian-friendly atmosphere, is the perfect backdrop for this remarkable journey. Tickets for the event start at $12.00.
“Barbie” premieres July 21st, 2023, at many local favorite theaters, including, but not limited to, AMC Kabuki 8, Alamo Drafthouse, Presidio Theatre, and AMC Metreon 16.
