Live entertainment is back!
2020 has been a doozy. To say the least, the pandemic has put quite the damper on some of our favorite activities. Our summer vibes never had a chance to reach their full potential, as epic concerts were canceled and the awesome parties we all look forward to were postponed.
But as they say, where there is a will, there is a way. The Flaming Lips certainly took that to heart for their bubble concert in Oklahoma City in recent weeks. And luckily, there is surely no lack of creatives with clever solutions in the Bay Area.
Starting tomorrow, the Burlingame Golf Center’s AstroTurf will hereby be known as the Bayshore Drive-in, set to host a series of socially distanced live performances so that we can fulfill all our music needs. The concert series will run from tomorrow, October 22 until November 7. Featured will be a range of fan favorites, from funk-fusion bassist Thundercat and EDM powerhouse Major Lazer to jazz-pop orchestra Pink Martini and comedian Bert Kreischer.
And no need to worry – the event, presented by Hotbox and HUSHconcerts, is taking all of the necessary steps to ensure a safe and socially distanced experience. Masks will be required of all guests and the event clearly outlines specific safety guidelines for check-in, parking and during the performance.
Tickets are sold per vehicle and range from $99 to $349, depending on the show and parking spot. If you plan to bring more than the four people allotted per ticket, additional passenger tickets are available for $45. For the full list of safety precautions and more information about ticketing, please visit their website.
Are you ready? Because we definitely are!
