History of Free Cone Day
Free Cone Day first kicked off in 1979 at Ben & Jerry’s original location in Vermont. By 1993, scoop shops across the U.S. were celebrating the day together, and by 2000, the tradition had spread worldwide. Now a major springtime event, fans eagerly anticipate it each year. Just last year, Ben & Jerry’s handed out over a million free scoops across the globe.
