Every spring, the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco hosts a beautiful, unique exhibition featuring avant-garde bouquets. The temporary exhibit, Bouquets to Art, debuts on March 3 and runs through March 8 with an Opening Night Reception on Monday, March 2. It features bouquets made to complement the art and architecture in the de Young and Legion of Honor. This year’s floral arrangements are created by more than 120 floral designers in the Bay Area, ranging from elegant bouquets to large-scale installations.

Bouquets to Art includes 100 floral arrangements in the de Young and 20 throughout the Legion of Honor. This year, the exhibit will welcome 16 new florists, and the de Young has added extended hours due to the popular demand. The de Young will be open from 6 to 9 pm on Thursday, March 5, to accommodate for visitors that can’t make it to the museum during regular business hours. The exhibit is only a few days long due to the short lifespan of the flowers, and it’s a wonderful way to celebrate spring.

The exhibit will also include numerous talks and demonstrations from floral designers. Tickets are on sale now and also include admission to the museum’s permanent galleries. You can buy tickets and learn more about Bouquets to Art here.
