Heads up, flower children! SF Flower Market is spearheading a breathtaking new public sculpture exhibition in the City, in collaboration with the SF Chamber of Commerce and the City of San Francisco.
Local artists created these 13 unique butterfly sculptures from natural materials and fresh flowers. The towering butterflies range from 6-9 feet tall and will be displayed all around the City from May 1-7. SF Flower Market wants to draw attention to Small Business Week, which lasts from May 3-7.
“The goal of this campaign is to have social media draw the foot traffic into the neighborhoods,” said Jeanne Boes, General Manager of the SF Flower Market in a press release. “People will come to take selfies with the butterflies and discover the small businesses that make these neighborhoods uniquely San Francisco.”
Floral designers include Acme Floral, Anies Charles, Desiree Flower & Design Studio, Envy Floral, Nixon Tran, Paul Robertson, Raul Dueñas Floral & Event Design, Sharla Flock Designs, Sharp Stick Studio, and Stanlee Gatti.
