From Elton John to Lil Nas X, some of music’s most trailblazing and empowering queer artists are set to be celebrated at this enchanting concert by Candlelight. Candlelight Pride: Celebrating Queer Musical Icons
As soon as June comes around, the streets of SF come alive thanks to the fabulous parades, colorful flags and iconic tunes by some of the most successful queer musicians in history. To celebrate these innovative artists and their music, Candlelight presents this remarkable concert that’s putting a classical spin on beloved songs by the likes of Jonathan Larson, Frank Ocean and Janelle Monáe.
On arrival, you’ll be taken aback by the sea of glimmering candles that will be illuminating The International Art Museum of America. Once you’ve taken your seat in this magnificent candlelit venue, DIVISI’s Amp’d String Quartet will work their magic on iconic chart-topping hits such as Unholy and Montero (Call Me By Your Name) as well as treasured classics like Your Song and Thinkin Bout You.

The International Art Museum of America is a non-profit museum open to anyone looking to discover some of the finest art from all around the world. Visitors can enjoy an array of exhibits that show off magnificent works from 17th-century painters as well as more contemporary visionaries. Aside from hosting a timeless selection of artwork and intriguing exhibitions, the IAMA also hosts several Candlelight concerts throughout the year.
