San Francisco is adding a new, unique park to its already long list of scenic public spaces. The new park in question is called Cityside Park on Treasure Island, which is set to open in just a few weeks on September 13. The new park will also feature an exciting event series featuring Off the Grid food trucks. The popular food trucks will be at the park on Saturdays from 11 am to 4 pm until November 1, 2025
“The opening of Cityside Park presents the rare opportunity to introduce a new neighborhood to the Bay Area through what we do best: delicious culinary experiences that build community,” said Matt Cohen, CEO and Founder of Off the Grid. “The world-class view and the space make the area a true destination that we’re excited to bring to life for the first time.”

The series will include different types of food, with a focus on coastal cuisines, including Greek, Italian, French, Spanish, and Eastern European cuisine. The food options will focus on shareable plates and a bar program including San Francisco-inspired cocktails. You can also expect an Italo-Disco during the Saturday afternoon event, and family-friendly activities available for all ages. The new park is on the island’s western shore, featuring sweeping green space, trees, gardens, and more.
Treasure Island is just an 8-minute ferry ride from San Francisco. It features beautiful views of the SF skyline from the bay. The small island is entirely man-made and was built in the 1930s as part of the Golden Gate International Exposition in 1939. Since then, the island has gone through many changes, but it is currently a residential island with over 18,000 people. The island regularly attracts visitors eager to take in the views, explore the Gold Bar Whisky Distillery, or visit the island’s museum.
Check out the new park at its grand opening on September 13, you can expect a ribbon cutting, speeches, and live performances. Learn more about Off the Grid at Treasure Island here.
