Come for the vaccine, stay for the show!
Yes, you read that right – San Francisco nonprofit Code Tenderloin, which works to remove barriers for people seeking long-term employment, has raised the bar in terms of vaccine incentives. This Friday, July 30, they will host a Vaccine Rap Day where people can get vaccinated while watching singers and rappers perform original songs. Anyone over 21 who gets vaccinated at the event will receive 1/8th of cannabis, as long as they show ID.
In addition to the vaccine incentive, there’s an incentive for performing as well. All singers and rappers who create and perform a song about getting vaccinated will receive a $200 Visa gift card. Submissions are now closed as of yesterday, but there are sure to be some memorable performances. Come for the vaccine, stay for the show!
The event will take place on Friday, July 30 starting at 4pm on the 900 block of Market St. Follow Code Tenderloin on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter for updates.
