This October, the de Young museum in Golden Gate Park is staying open late for an exciting Halloween party. The after-hours event is one of the SF Fine Arts Museums Late Night Editions, featuring music, drinks, and the chance to explore the museum after dark.
Late Night Editions: Halloween Eve
On Friday, October 30, the de Young will stay open late for a special Halloween Eve party. The event will have DJs playing music throughout the night, bites from Off the Grid Food Trucks, and access to the museum’s special exhibition, Treasures of the Pharaohs. Attendees can also explore the museum’s permanent galleries, including its expansive collection of paintings.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Halloween party without a costume contest, and organizers encourage partygoers to come dressed in their most avant-garde or art-inspired costumes. The party will run from 6 to 10 pm, and the party is for people 21 and over, so be sure to bring your ID.
Last year, the Legion of Honor also hosted a Halloween party, drawing major crowds to enjoy music and drinks inside the museum. Now, the popular event is returning in 2026, and we recommend getting your tickets soon. General admission tickets cost $45, and VIP tickets include access to two lounges for $95. Tickets are available on the Fine Arts Museum website.
