D.L. Bliss State Park has finally reopened after a three-year closure!
The 2,149-acre park on Lake Tahoe is one of the region’s most beloved destinations, featuring the scenic 7.4-mile Rubicon Trail and the popular Lester Beach.
The park closed in June 2023 to complete a $5 million infrastructure project, which replaced the water main and added 22 fire hydrants, according to a press release.
While the project was originally expected to take one year, problems with the original contractor stretched it to almost 3 years total.
But as of May 21st, D.L. Bliss is once again welcoming visitors, with a new visitor center to boot.
