Election Day is here: November 5, 2024. Many businesses offer “freebies” on Election Day to reward voters for going out and making their voices heard. If you haven’t voted yet, check out our voter guide to find the closest polling center near you. In the meantime, check out these deals to celebrate participating in the election this year.
Freebies on Election Day in San Francisco
- John’s Grill: This historic SF restaurant will offer complimentary lunch and wine at their Election Day Luncheon on Nov. 5th, hosted by former SF Mayor Willie Brown.
- Uber: Uber is offering 50% off rides to polling locations. To claim this deal, all you have to do is open the Uber app and select the “Go Vote!” feature on election day. The app will direct you to your closest polling destination and apply the 50% off automatically, (up to $10).
- Lyft: Lyft is offering a similar promotion on Election Day, with 50% off up to $10 to polling sites as well.
- Krispy Kreme: The iconic donut company is offering a free original glazed donut if you bring in your “I Voted” sticker on Election Day. It’s the perfect reward for heading out to the polls, especially if you go in the morning.
- Lime: The electric scooter company is offering free rides to and from the polls for voters with the code “VOTE2024”.
- Johnny Rockets: Get a free milkshake at Johnny Rockets by mentioning “free shake” on Nov. 5th. The closest Johnny Rockets to SF is at Livermore Outlets.
Free Election Day watch parties in San Francisco
There are also several venues in SF hosting Election Day watch parties for those who want to get out of the house to watch the results roll in on Tuesday.
- Executive Order: It’s only fitting that an American history-themed bar would host a watch party for the election results. Located in Downtown SF, Executive Order will stream election coverage starting at 5 pm on Tuesday evening complete with cocktails and light bites.
- 111 Minna Gallery: This watch party includes coverage from hosts Join Rose Aguilar and Hana Baba. The event includes free pizza from Joyride and drinks are available. Admission is free and coverage starts at 7 pm.
- The Function SF: Watch the election with an all-night happy hour deal at this comedy club & cocktail lounge.
- Manny’s: Join this Election Day block party starting at 5pm at 15th St. and Valencia, with the addition of a large inflatable viewing screen, popcorn, cotton candy, professional neck massages and nail painting, and drag performances.
- Curio Bar: Curio is hosting a watch party at 5pm on their patio and sidewalk with multiple screens, food and drink specials, and a first-come, first-serve policy.
