The Ferry Building in San Francisco not only houses wonderful merchants and restaurants, including local favorites like Blue Bottle Coffee, Senior Sisig, and Dandelion Chocolate, but the historic building also hosts many community events. This week, a popular event series is returning, Ferry Flicks, a series of outdoor movie screenings on Friday nights.
The first screening of the year is this Friday, on May 2, showing the 1980s classic Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. The screening is located at Fort Point Beer Garden, so you can sip on your favorite brews while enjoying the film. The fun starts at 7 pm with drag bingo hosted by Rollin’ With the Homos, and the film screening will follow at 8 pm. Tickets cost $8.95 and include popcorn with the screening. Fort Point will also have a late happy hour deal, with $5 draft pours throughout the movie.

The movie nights are scheduled on Friday nights throughout the month of May. Check out the upcoming schedule:
- May 2: Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
- May 9: Best in Show
- May 16: Clueless
- May 23: The Princess Bride
Fort Point Brewery is an independent beer company based in San Francisco. The brewery first started in 2009, when Justin and Tyler Catalana opened their first brewery in Mill Valley before eventually launching in San Francisco in 2014. Since then, the brewery has opened multiple locations in the city, including Valencia, a pop-up in the Presidio, and the Ferry Building.
The Ferry Building hosts multiple exciting community events every month, including plant markets, yoga classes, live music, and more. Plus, a new public art piece was just installed in front of the Ferry Building, called R-Evolution, and will only be on display for a limited time.
You can see the screening of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off on this Friday, May 2nd at the Ferry Building in San Francisco. The event starts at 7 pm and the movie will start at 8 pm.
