Fall at Filoli Estate and Gardens is always charming. With the century-old apple orchard, an abundance of fall foliage, and plenty of events that celebrate the season, it’s no surprise the estate remains popular during the fall months.
This year, Filoli has a special treat in store for visitors called Nightfall. The Halloween-themed event runs from October 16 to November 3 and promises a mystery-themed night fitting for Halloween. Nightfall will take guests through the historic house outfitted with candles as scenes are played out for guests. Meanwhile, classic Jack-O-Lanterns will illuminate the meadow outside the historic home. A themed bar will be available to guests 21 and over, but the event is open to all ages. Tickets are available now, priced at $41 for adults and $28 for children. Entry to Nightfall is timed every 30 minutes, so be sure to check the time slot you reserved for your tickets.
Nightfall is just one of many of Filoli’s fall events. The estate hosts orchard days starting in September, during which guests can explore the historic orchard and listen to live music in the afternoons. On Saturdays in the fall, Horticulturists and the estate’s resident beekeeper give tours to guests and provide samplings of honey and hard cider. Aside from the special fall events, Filoli is beautiful year-round. The garden blooms throughout the seasons, and the many trees offer an opportunity to spot some fall foliage.
Filoli is over 100 years old and sits on a massive property of over 600 acres. The estate is a nonprofit organization that opened to the public in 1975. The mansion is in the Georgian revival style and offers guests a window to the past.
We recommend booking tickets in advance if you plan on visiting Filoli, as spots are known to sell out. The special Halloween event will begin on October 16 and run through November 3. Filoli is located at 86 Cañada Road, Woodside.
