Friends Only isn’t your regular night out. Known for curating invite-only events in unexpected Toronto places, they notoriously turned a 50,000 square feet Eataly into a bumping party — among so many other activations in the city. Now, the event series is making its U.S. debut in our very own San Francisco.

What is Friends Only in San Francisco?
Friends Only is ultimately a celebration of community. While the event series creates exciting events for select attendees to enjoy, its fundamental purpose is to connect people and give back to the city.
When Friends Only turned Canada’s most legendary library into a lush forest, guests were invited to donate books for children’s literacy programs in Toronto. And when they turned a former ZARA location into their very own department store, 2000 pieces of used clothing were donated to the Salvation Army.
At each event, Friends Only makes a real impact on the community, and this premiere in San Francisco is no different: guests are invited to bring bags or articles of clothing to donate in support of the Salvation Army clothing drive.
“We want guests to leave not just with unforgettable memories, but with also a deeper awareness of how they can contribute to the city around them,” the founder tells Blog TO. “It’s about recognizing the role each of us plays in this community and taking meaningful action.”
Friends Only’s upcoming events in San Francisco
For now, Friends Only has just revealed their event on October 31st at San Francisco City Hall, but more to come! Since this is the first U.S. event, the event series welcomes attendees to invite as many friends as they’d like.

Dress code 🎃It’s Halloween — come dressed as you like! Just note that no fake weapons or props are allowed per SF City Hall policy.
Tickets 🎟️ Admissions are first come, first served with no tickets at the door. The 21+ activations are all included in the ticket price, just bring a valid ID & your ticket.
Non-alcoholic options will also be available 🍸As Friends Only points out “you don’t need to drink to have an amazing night.”
