The first-ever Future of Us Festival will take over dozens of San Francisco venues from July 4 through 12, 2026, timed to celebrate the nation’s 250th anniversary with a mix of arts, music, food, and science.
Programming includes 50+ events and 100+ civic activations all over the city, from the Dogpatch to the Mission to the Bayview.

What’s Happening and Where
The primary venue is The Pearl in the Dogpatch, which will serve as the festival’s home base, hosting immersive art exhibitions, live rooftop music, and talks with civic leaders, scientists, artists, and futurists. More events will take place at SFMOMA, Pier 70, the Southeast Community Center in Bayview, Fort Mason, One Embarcadero, and neighborhood parks across the city.
Programming is organized around four themes: Green Futures, Social Futures, Science & Tech Futures, and Media Futures.

- Now or Never (July 10-11): A pop-up floral labyrinth at the California Institute of Integral Studies
- Food for Thought (July 8-9): A live dinner service with Indonesian and Southern Soul Food curated by Bayview residents
- Every Body Moves: Dance Ambassador Training (July 7-9, 12): Classes for dance ambassadors to open up the world of street dance, culminating in a dance party on July 12
- Dreamblock (July 6, 8, 10): A workshop dedicated to reimagining a city block to bring down the cost of housing and invest in sustainability
- Future of Us: Dogpatch Block Party (July 10): A five-hour neighborhood block party at Pier 70
Event prices range from free to $75, although organizers state that all prices are suggestions and no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
