The second annual Half Moon Bay Wine & Jazz Festival is coming up on May 13, 2023 from 12-5pm in Downtown Half Moon Bay. Guests will have the opportunity to sample delicious wines from 40+ California wineries, indulge in fantastic cuisine from top local food vendors, and enjoy lively performances from local jazz legends. Performers include the Marcus Shelby Quintet, Paula West, the John Santos Sextet, and more.

This year’s festival brings an exciting roster of local jazz legends to keep the energy going all day long. Performers include the John Santos Sextet, headed by seven-time Grammy nominee John Santos; contralto jazz and cabaret singer Paula West; and the Marcus Shelby Quintet, headed by renowned composer and bassist Marcus Shelby.
Other groups to keep an eye out for include El Guajiro, a quartet specializing in romantic Cuban boleros; Sammi Joy, a jazz vocalist who’s worked with many pop legends; the Brian Andres Trio, which ups the ante with new Latin jazz compositions and arrangements; and the Half Moon Bay High School Jazz Band, which will kick off the event at the beginning of the day.

Guests will receive their own commemorative stemless wine glass to make the rounds on Main Street at big-name wineries including Peltier, Stilson Cellars, Weibel Family Winery, Adobe Road, Anarchist Wine Co., Aptos Vineyard, Benton Family Wines, Caelesta, Doon to Earth, Half Moon Bay Winery, McGrail Vineyards, and more.
Wine is the name of the game at this event, but the food and drink options certainly don’t end there. Main Street will feature a well-stocked food court with fantastic vendors including Half Moon Bay Wine & Cheese Company, Sam’s Chowder Mobile, Breakwater Barbecue, and Spread the Love Jams & Jellies.
Finally, less wine-inclined guests can still partake in delicious beer and cider options from Blue Ocean Brewing, Fox Tales, Sacrilege Brewery, Santa Cruz Cider Co., and Far West Cider Co.

The Half Moon Bay Wine & Jazz Festival will take place from 12-5pm on Saturday, May 13, 2023 on Main Street in Half Moon Bay. Guests are encouraged to take public transportation, but the closest street parking is on Johnston and Purisima Streets.
General admission (GA) tickets cost $55 and include a commemorative wine glass, 5 tasting tickets to use at dozens of vendors, and GA seating for the Main Stage. You can save by buying two GA tickets for $100.
VIP tickets cost $125 and include two commemorative wine glasses, 8 tasting tickets, VIP seating for the Main Stage, and access to a VIP Lounge with special food and drink selections.
If you want to continue wine tasting, GA and VIP ticket holders can buy an additional 5 tasting tickets for $20.
Finally, you can also try the Music Only ticket option for $25, which forgoes the wine tasting but gets you GA seating for the Main Stage. This is a good option if you want to bring kids to this family-friendly event.
