Every winter, San Francisco debuts a series of heart sculptures painted by various local artists to raise money for the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center. The annual fundraiser starts with displaying the hearts in the Ferry Building, before they are auctioned off for charity. You can often spot the beautifully painted hearts throughout the city, as some of the larger sculptures are often publicly displayed. Check out this map to find all the large heart sculptures that are displayed throughout the city.

The hearts are currently on display in the Ferry Building until February 11, 2026. This year’s selection features 20 talented artist, with hearts in varying sizes. Each artist has their own unique theme for their two hearts, ranging from iconic San Francisco landmarks like the Golden Gate Bridge and Castro Theater. There are also more abstract hearts, some featuring floral designs and creative patterns. The hearts on sale now start at $5,000 for a mini heart and can sell for up to $15,000 for a table top heart.
The fundraiser will end with a formal gala on Thursday, February 12 with cocktails, dinner, and performers at the urban conservatory in Downtown San Francisco. Organizers are also hsoting an afterparty for the gala, Hearts After Dark, which will feature dancing, music from DJ heyLove, and cocktails. Tickets cost $50 and doors open at 8:30 on Thursday evening. You can learn more about Hearts in SF and buy tickets here.
