Ongoing/recurring Bay Area holiday markets
Weekends Nov. 18-Dec. 17, 2023 – Cow Palace, Daly City
This beloved annual event drops you into a 140,000-square-foot Victorian London, brought to life by hundreds of costumed players and a plethora of shops, stages, pubs, parties, and memorable performances. The Holiday Handcraft Marketplace is full of vendors with everything from collectible art to jewelry and textiles. Tickets to the fair are $45 general admission.
Nov. 24-Dec. 31, 2023 – PayPal Park, San Jose
When it comes to holiday light displays in the Bay Area, it’s hard to beat this enormous Christmas maze and ice skating rink in San Jose. Enchant is essentially a massive glittering winter wonderland rife with photo opportunities, fun activities, and a winter village full of artisan-made gifts.
Saturdays Nov. 25-Dec. 16, 2023 – Ferry Building, San Francisco
This beloved market features original drawings, paintings, ceramics and more by neurodiverse and disabled Bay Area artists. This is the third annual event and artists earn income directly from each sale.
Saturdays, Nov. 25-Dec. 30 – Winchester Mystery House, San Jose
A special holiday market devoted to occult products including antique items, taxidermy, one-of-a-kind collectibles, medical specimens, and natural science specimens. Take a tour of the Winchester Mystery House while you’re at it.
Nov. 26, 2023 – Courthouse Square, Redwood City
This Silicon Valley market presents 100+ vendors, live music, and family activities.
Dec. 2, 2023 – Sebastopol Center for the Arts
Local makers from around NorCal host an all-day experience with activities, fine art, food trucks, and more.
This market pops up in locations around the Bay Area through the holiday season. They celebrate creators and artists as well as small brands, local shops, and local non-profits.

Weekends Dec. 9-24, 2023 – Telegraph Ave, Berkeley
Over 200 local artisans will take over Telegraph Ave between Dwight and Bancroft near the UC Berkeley campus. This is the 40th annual fair complete with fun decorations and a multicultural shopping atmosphere.
Dec. 15-24, 2023 – Stockton Street from Post to O’Farrell, San Francisco
This popular Union Square holiday tradition is back due to popular demand after a pandemic hiatus. Explore two pedestrian-only blocks in Downtown SF with food trucks, a beer garden, family activities, and entertainment. Vendors are TBA but should include gift items as well as food and drink.
Bay Area holiday markets: Nov. 27-Dec. 3
Nov. 29, 2023 – Three Embarcadero Center, Urban Patio
Embarcadero Center hosts its first holiday market on Wednesday, Nov. 29 from 2-5pm. Guests can enjoy holiday cocktails and beverages while supporting Embarcadero Center retailers, and grab a photo with Santa between 3-4pm.
Nov. 30, 2023 – Hotel Shattuck Plaza, Berkeley
Explore 25 retailers at Hotel Shattuck Plaza from 3-7pm at this Thursday market run by the Berkeley Chamber. Take advantage of complimentary eco-friendly gift wrapping from Rotary Club of Berkeley while you’re there.
Nov. 30, 2023 – City College of San Francisco, Ocean Campus
CCSF’s Center for Entrepreneurship partners with the Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center for this lovely holiday craft fair supporting local small businesses and student vendors.
Nov. 30-Dec. 2, 2023 – Gamble Garden, Palo Alto
This beautiful Palo Alto garden will be decked out in holiday lights for its Winter Festival featuring an adults-only grand opening on Nov. 30, Santa visits on Dec. 1, and a family holiday tea on Dec. 2. The holiday marketplace will be open all weekend long.
Dec. 1-3, 2023 – Pacifica Community Center, Pacifica
The Pacifica Community Center presents an elaborate weekend of holiday festivities including a “Winter Elf Market.” The market takes place only on Friday and Saturday, but other events throughout the weekend include caroling, a building lighting, a tree lighting, photos with Santa, and free pony rides.
Explore this free market in Point Reyes with vendors selling local food and treasures to benefit the Dance Palace community.
15. West Coast Craft
Dec. 2 & 16, 2023 – Fort Mason Center, San Francisco
West Coast Craft is primarily inspired by the west coast lifestyle and local materials with products including ceramics, sculpture, fiber arts, textiles, home furnishings, paper goods, wood crafts, bath and body products, and more. This outdoor version of WCC hosts 100+ vendors in the Fort Mason Center parking lot.

Creative Communal comes to Sunnyvale for a holiday artisan market featuring 30+ local makers, live music, holiday kid’s crafts, permanent jewelry, and baked goods.
Dec. 2, 2023 – Saint Mary’s Cathedral, San Francisco
The Swedish Women’s Educational Association’s 40th annual Christmas fair returns to San Francisco. See a Lucia procession at 10am and 1pm, sip on warm glögg, taste delicious gingerbread cookies, and stock up on handmade Swedish gift items. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children and seniors.

Dec. 2, 2023 – 501 Buckingham Way, San Francisco
Support local queer creators at this Stonestown fair showcasing 70+ local artists, makers, and vendors. Make a day of it with delicious eats from food vendors as well as live music.
Dec. 2-3, 2023 – County Fair Building, Golden Gate Park, San Francisco
The 8th annual Sunset Holiday Mercantile will take over GG Park’s County Fair Building with an indoor-outdoor market showcasing makers, merchants, artisans, kids’ activities, food trucks, live music, beer and wine tasting, and more.

This holiday fair is a tradition 40 years running, dedicated to supporting local vendors from around Marin County and the rest of the Bay Area. The MB Quilters, who started the holiday fair decades ago, will be selling their popular hats, scarves, gloves, and quilts.

Dec. 2-3, 2023 – Heath Ceramics, San Francisco
Browse over 25 vendors at this elegant SF ceramics studio. This year they’re taking over the entire SF Mission space with design-forward goods including textiles, art, jewelry, glassware, and furniture. The event includes live demos including lavender distillation, wreath-making, and loom-weaving.

Dec. 2-3, 2023 – The Crucible, Oakland
The Crucible brings back their annual craft show and open house featuring work by local artisans and Crucible faculty. Handmade goods include functional pottery, unique sculptural pieces, and fragrant local soaps.

Oakland Art Murmur presents a winter rendition of their popular open studios event dating back 48 years. Over 80 Oakland studios will open their doors to the public with original and affordable art pieces for sale starting at just $20.

34. NightLife: Santa Claude’s Workshop at the CA Academy of Sciences
Dec. 7, 2023 – CA Academy of Sciences, San Francisco
The Academy of Sciences’ holiday NightLife event will feature a fully-stocked gift marketplace. The popular Thursday night festivities feature live DJs, outdoor bars, ambience lighting, and more alongside the Academy’s nearly 40,000 animal residents. General admission tickets are $20.25.
Dec. 9, 2023 – SoMa Pilipinas, San Francisco
The event will celebrate Christmas Filipino-style with plenty of art and cultural exhibits, amazing food, the Parol Lantern Festival, and a DJ party, among other things.

The German International School of Silicon Valley hosts a German-style holiday market in downtown Mountain View. Proceeds go to benefit the school, which has a dual German-English language program and grants graduates with both an American and a German high school diploma.

Dec. 16-17, 2023 – SF Botanical Garden, San Francisco
