Joyride Pizza is known for serving delicious Detroit-style pizza in the Bay Area. The family-owned business started in 2021 and has since expanded rapidly. Their creative pies are at multiple locations around the city and several more in the surrounding Bay Area.
The popular pizza is adding another location to their repertoire this spring, this time with beautiful waterfront views. The new location is at Pier 1, and the opening date is expected later this spring.
You can expect their classic menu of deep dish pizzas, along with breakfast pizzas, soft serve, cocktails, coffee, and more. With the new location next to the Ferry Building, it’s a prime spot for San Franciscans and tourists alike.
The pizzeria uses local ingredients to make their signature Detroit-style pizza with a focaccia crust. The menu is extensive, featuring many vegetarian and vegan options (there are plenty of great pies for meat lovers, too, don’t worry). Standouts include the veggie-forward Green Goddess and the Sweet Bianca, which features fig jam and ricotta. Plus, we recommend checking out the Meatzza for its sausage, bacon, and pepperoni and the Ocean Beach, which features clams topped with chili flakes. The cinnamon knots are the perfect way to satisfy your sweet tooth, or you can add garlic knots as a savory appetizer.
Joyride currently has 7 locations across the Bay Area. The pizza spot is creative with their locations, serving a full menu at local breweries, including Woods Lowside in the Lower Haight and Gilman Brewing locations in Berkeley and Daly City. They aren’t just at breweries, though; you can find them at the Yerba Buena Bowling Center and their own storefronts in the Mission District, at Yerba Beuna Gardens, and in Downtown SF on Market Street.
Stay tuned for more information on the new location, but in the meantime, we definitely recommend trying one of their iconic pizzas.
