This weekend in San Francisco started with a splash. Iconic popstar Kesha, known for her hit pop and dance songs like “Tik Tok” and “Timber,” played a surprise, secret show on Friday evening. The DJ set took place at the Presidio Tunnel Tops, with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background.
The surprise show was announced only one day before by Live Nation via Instagram, and the location was not revealed until the day of the concert. Kesha played a 30-minute DJ set with crowds of fans dancing along to her biggest hits. During the surprise show, Kesha declared she was moving to San Francisco.
Kesha has previously made surprise appearances in San Francisco. Last December, she was seen singing at SF’s beloved piano bar Martuni’s.
The surprise show comes as Kesha prepares for The Freedom Tour, which starts on May 23, 2026. Kesha will make a stop in Concord, California, at the Toyota Pavilion, which is approximately an hour drive from San Francisco. The Bay Area show is scheduled for May 27, 2026, and you can still get tickets. The tour follows the release of Kesha’s newest album, Period, last summer.
Kesha will also play two other California venues, one in Chula Vista and the Kia Forum in Inglewood. The Freedom Tour will make stops throughout the United States with select international shows in Toronto, Cork, and London.
