The Kind of Blue Revue is bringing its exciting hybrid performance and dance party to Oakland on October 20th. The show features an energetic mix of performances from burlesque to lindy hop, with group dances where you’ll be able to hit the dance floor with the cast and crew.
After years of unforgettable events in SF, the show is finally moving across the Bay to Crybaby, located in Oakland’s Uptown neighborhood.
The October 20th show will feature performances from award-winning performers like the reigning king of burlesque P.No Noire from Chicago, world-famous Frankie Fictitious, Bay Area stars The Wily Minxes in addition to other talented local artists.
The evening will feature musical performances from singer Viveca Hawkins, and the show’s six-piece house band, the Big Blu Soul Revue. They’ll be keeping the energy high throughout the evening with their trademark blend of blues, soul, and funk. Expect a night of amazing moves, gorgeous costumes, great music, and ample opportunity to hit the dancefloor.
Kind of Blue has been performing since 2019 with shows at legendary SF venues like Cafe du Nord and The Great American Music Hall. They’re finally taking the show across the Bay and bringing the party to Oakland. This will be their first performance at Crybaby, a popular venue that hosts exciting events ranging from dancy DJ nights to the Hoodslam wrestling event.
