As you’ve probably seen across social media and news outlets, Los Angeles has been devastated by massive wildfires this week. As a result, 30,000 people have had to evacuate their homes as thousands of acres burn. Several fires have broken out, notably a major one in the Pacific Palisades. California Governor Gavin Newsom has officially declared a state of emergency due to the destructive fires, and firefighters from Northern California have traveled down to LA to help combat the fires.
While we may be far from LA, there are still ways we can help Los Angeles residents. Many organizations and departments are taking donations during this time, including the first responders fighting the fires.

Los Angeles Fire Department
The LA Fire Department is on the frontline of the fires, bravely working to keep people safe and save as many homes as they can. The department is accepting donations to help equip firefighters with essential tools, including hydration packs and Wildland brush tools. Donations will help not only keep firefighters safe but help them work efficiently. Donate here.
