Northern California is filled with delightful weekend getaways. From gorgeous wineries in Napa to the wild bluffs in Big Sur, San Franciscans are lucky to have so many wonderful trips within a short drive. One particularly charming weekend escape is just a little over an hour outside of San Francisco, where you can stay in charming cottages created by an iconic San Francisco designer.

Little Saint is a plant-based restaurant, coffee house, and bar located in Downtown Healdsburg. The restaurant recently expanded to add four charming guest cottages on the property. The cottages are small, but bursting with color and patterns. Each cottage is unique, and they are intended to be a “creative haven” and are perfect for a charming weekend in Sonoma. The cottages are nestled on manicured grounds, with access to a pool and Little Saint.

Each cottage is unique, with some featuring cozy, rustic elements and others boasting more spacious areas. In each cottage, you’re sure to find rich colors, beautiful patterns, and charming details like wood beams, fireplaces, and intricate tile work. The cottages nicely complement Little Saint, the plant-based restaurant that also acts as a coffee shop, wine bar, and event venue. You can regularly catch live performances at the space, including popular musician St. Vincent on March 3.

The restaurant gets fresh produce from it’s eight acre farm just a few miles away. The farm influences the seasonal menu and stocks their market stands. If that wasn’t tempting enough, you can also browse a curated wine selection. Healdsburg is also known for its charming downtown and close proximity to many Sonoma wineries, so you’ll have plenty to do while staying at Little Saint.
Little Saint and the accompanying cottages are the work of designer Ken Fulk, based in San Francisco and well known for his high-end designs that embrace creativity, color, and art.
