San Francisco has many beautiful restaurants , from cozy spots perfect for a winter date night to beautiful rooftop restaurants with incredible views. Recently, an SF restaurant was listed among the 21 most beautiful new restaurants in the United States, joining numerous stunning eateries from across the country.
The list comes from the Robb Report, evaluating restaurants that opened in 2025. Via Aurelia, a San Francisco restaurant, made the list for its attention to detail in design, including Florentine sandstone and frescoed plaster patinas. The restaurant is bright and stylish while remaining comfortable. Secluded booths are ideal for groups, while a large, beautiful bar is perfect for people stopping in for a quick drink. The chic Italian restaurant is named after the historic road that led to Rome, and was known for its trade and impact on culture.

Fittingly, the restaurant includes many traditional foods and flavors, all with a San Francisco twist. You can expect seafood like scallops and black cod, and handmade pastas like tortellini and tagliatelle. For entrées, highlights include a dry-aged duck, crispy pork belly, and even lobster.

Several other California restaurants made the list, including Lucia in Los Angeles, known for its large-scale sculptures. Bar Issi in Palm Springs also made the cut due to its wonderful, bright, and bold patterns.
The restaurant opened last year in Mission Rock, a rapidly developing area that has seen numerous major businesses relocate. The new neighborhood is just across the water from Oracle Park and is connected to Mission Bay. Arsicault Bakery, known for its iconic croissants, recently opened a storefront in the up-and-coming neighborhood.
