BFF.fm has put together an epic scavenger hunt with over 100 challenges for music lovers.
Still looking for Labor Day weekend plans? Consider this enormous San Francisco Music Scavenger Hunt! Mission-based BFF.fm (Best Frequencies Forever) has created a game that runs from Saturday, September 4 until Monday, September 6. You can play just 1, 2, or all 3 days!
Most of the challenges are still secret, but the event is city-wide and will challenge you to race across to different venues, complete challenges from home, and arrive on time to catch pop-up musical performances. The location-based components will be available between 12pm-8pm each day, and you can earn points by completing tasks successfully. The BFF.fm description hints at a music video challenge, musical landmarks, and SF’s legendary Rickshaw Stop on Fell St.
SFGATE reports that prizes will include concert tickets, records, books and gift baskets.
The massive scavenger hunt is BFF.fm’s annual fundraising event to continue providing excellent community radio in San Francisco. They work to create an inclusive environment by uplifting the underground music scene and Bay Area DJs. “Our station must be inclusive of many people, provide airtime to those not breaking into the mainstream industry due to personal or systemic barriers, and support and celebrate underrepresented independent musicians,” they write on their website.
To participate in BFF.fm’s San Francisco Music Scavenger Hunt, you’ll need to join with a team of up to 6 players. Download the GooseChase app, where you can input an entry code to kick off the hunt on Saturday. Tickets cost either $25 or $50, depending how much you can donate. There’s also an option for a “pay what you can” ticket.
Enjoy the San Francisco Music Scavenger Hunt throughout Labor Day weekend at different secret locations around the city!
