As the Super Bowl draws closer, there are more and more events to celebrate the big game. Tomorrow, the NFL will host an exciting pop-up shop with a special collection of Super Bowl merchandise. The pop-up shop is only open for one day, Thursday, February 5, from 11 am to 5 pm at The Pearl in San Francisco. Origins: An NFL Collection features three Bay Area brands and designers: Aaron De La Cruz, BLVCK SCVLE, and Nostalgia.
“Origins: An NFL Collection is about creativity meeting community,” said Ashley Daniel, director of consumer products at the NFL. “At Super Bowl LX, we are celebrating not only football but the stories, cultures and voices that define the San Francisco Bay Area.”
The collection features scenes of San Francisco, all on unique, fashionable merchandise created by local designers. Aaron de La Cruz, one of the designers, cites skateboarding, graffiti art, and architecture as his influences, and he has collaborated with major fashion brands like Nike and Maison Margiela. The collection also includes BLVCK SCVLE, a contemporary streetwear brand that specializes in dark romanticism. The final local brand included in Origins is Nostalgia, a streetwear brand founded by Humbert Lee and Jaden Yo-Eco. As the name suggests, the designs are intended to bring back past memories through modern clothes.
The pop-up store is only one day, and you can expect music and refreshments while you shop. If you can’t make it to the store in person, you can always check out the designs online starting on February 6. You can shop the collection in person tomorrow, from 11 am to 5 pm at 601 19th Street in San Francisco.
The pop-up isn’t the only Super Bowl event to look forward to this week. We recommend visiting the NFL Experience, a football fan event at the Moscone Center. For more events happening this week, check out our Super Bowl guide here.
