Long before California Street became a modern tech and financial corridor, it was the beating heart of San Francisco’s Gilded Age. Standing right at its center was the Financial Center Building that is operating today as the magnificent Omni San Francisco Hotel. With its two-story Italian marble lobby, wrought-iron staircases and glowing Austrian crystal chandeliers, the building has certainly retained its Roaring Twenties charm, and this November , it’s adding another layer of wonder by hosting an exclusive 90-minute magic show.
Recognized in the top 10% of attractions worldwide by TripAdvisor, Theater of Magic delivers an unforgettable immersive experience. Taking place on November 7 and 21, audiences sit just feet away from mind-bending sleight of hand, mentalism and quick wit.

Omni San Francisco Hotel
Theater of Magic was created by Australia’s celebrity magician Christopher Wayne, who’s headlined in Las Vegas, London’s West End, and Off-Broadway in New York. Now, his iconic and intimate show lands in San Francisco, looking to amaze anyone aged eight and above.
Omni San Francisco Hotel: a century of architectural splendor
Situated directly on the iconic California Street cable car line at the heart of Montgomery Street, the building was designed by architect Frederick H. Meyer in 1926, in collaboration with Albin R. Johnson. Today’s structure was built on the site of the former Parrott Building, a three-story building erected in 1852 by Chinese mechanics and laborers on contract from early San Francisco settler John Parrott.
The structure holds an Official “Class A” Historic Rating—the highest designation for historical importance given by the City of San Francisco. From the intricate brass detailing to the hand-cut marble cladding, every corner of the property reflects the wealth of 1920s San Francisco, making it the ultimate setting for a night of classic illusion.
