It’s the season of looking back on 2023, and in that spirit, OpenTable released its top 100 restaurants in the United States, and two SF restaurants made the list. The list reflects the ‘ most in-demand restaurants by OpenTable diners this year.” OpenTable used various metrics to create the list, such as ratings, percentage of 5-star reviews, reservations in advance, and more. Plus, restaurants needed to meet a minimum number of reviews to be considered for the 2023 ranking.
The 2 San Francisco restaurants that made the list are House of Prime Rib and Kokkari Estiatorio. California claimed the highest number of restaurants per state on the list, totaling 14. Florida followed with 7 restaurants. The California restaurants that made the list are throughout the state, with many in Southern California. Animo, located in Sonoma, California, also made the list, perfect for San Franciscans who love wine country.
About House of Prime Rib
It’s no surprise that House of Prime Rib was recognized on this list. The popular steak house features a classic atmosphere with white table cloths and the iconic prime rib carved directly in front of dinners from gleaming stainless steel carts. The main event is the meat, but you can also choose various sides, cocktails, and wine to compliment the prime rib. They take pride in the quality of their meat, only using the top 2% of prime beef available. This isn’t the first time House of Prime rib has been recognized by OpenTable; in 2021, they won 4 awards, including best steak.
About Kokkari Estiatorio.
Kokkari Estiatorio gets its name from a village on the small island of Samos. The Mediterranean restaurant is focused on creating the “old-world charm of a rustic Mediterranean country inn” during their dining experiences.
