Happy Pride, SF!
Have you ever wanted to watch a movie under the stars? What about on a world-famous baseball diamond? Oracle Park is screening 2 amazing movies on June 11 and 12, and they’re sure to be absolutely unforgettable. Not only that, but there will be some awesome pre-screening festivities with both virtual and in-person special guests! Seriously, you don’t want to miss this.
San Francisco Pride, Frameline and San Francisco Giants will present In the Heights on Friday, June 11, and Everybody’s Talking About Jamie on Saturday, June 12. Pre-movie festivities will begin at 6:30pm and the films will begin at 8:00pm both nights.
In the Heights (Friday June 11)
This vibrant musical film comes to us from Lin Manuel-Miranda (creator of Hamilton) and Jon M. Chu (director of Crazy Rich Asians). It takes place in Washington Heights, New York City, and tells the story of Usnavi (Anthony Ramos), a bodega owner who dreams of a better life. The dynamic film also stars Corey Hawkins, Leslie Grace, Melissa Barrera, Olga Merediz and more.
Everybody’s Talking About Jamie (Saturday June 12)
This film adaptation of an award-winning London musical is based on true events. It follows Jamie (Max Harwood), a teenager with secret aspirations of becoming a famous drag queen. Castmembers include Sarah Lancashire, Lauren Patel, Shobna Gulati, Ralph Ineson, Adeel Akhtar, Samuel Bottomley, with Sharon Horgan and Richard E. Grant. Directed by Jonathan Butterell, who is also the London stage director.
Ticket options include socially distanced pods and fully-vaccinated, full-capacity seating. You can buy socially-distanced tickets in pods of 2-4 people, and fans in these sections are no longer required to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test. Pods will be spaced at least 6 feet apart.
Fully-vaccinated ticket options are not spaced apart. Attendees must be fully vaccinated at least 14 days before the screening, and must show proof of vaccination along with ID.
There are a variety of ticket prices depending on where guests are seated. They are the following:
- View Level – starting at $19.99 per person
- Lower Box – starting at $24.99 per person
- Club Level – starting at $44.99 per person
- On-Field Experience (Vaccinated) – $124.99 per person, includes SF Pride blanket and exclusive access to purchase drinks at 2 bars
- On-Field Experience (Pods) – $2,499.95 for up to 12 tickets, includes 4 SF Pride blankets, 1 alcoholic beverage for each adult over 21, 1 welcome snack package, and the ability to order food/drinks directly from the pod
