Hardly Strictly Bluegrass is a beloved San Francisco event, taking over Golden Gate Park every year for a weekend of free music. The festival brings a range of musicians to play on massive stages in the park, with thousands gathering to enjoy the music. This year, the festival is teaming up with another free music event in San Francisco—Porchfest—to bring a lineup of local musicians to the park.
SF Porchfest at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass

This year, SF Porchfest will present a set during Hardly Strictly Bluegrass at the Arrow Stage. The set will take place from 11:15 am to 12:25 pm on Saturday, October 3, featuring three local performers.
“Hardly Strictly has always represented so much of what we love about San Francisco —
incredible music, open to everyone, bringing people together,” said Beth Gould, SF Porchfest
founder. “To have the opportunity to bring artists from our community into that world is really
meaningful for us. Porchfest has always been about creating a platform for local musicians, and
this partnership allows us to bring that mission to a wider audience.”
Isabel Dumaa, Los Jefes, and Seldon from SF Porchfest will take the stage in Golden Gate Park next weekend. Fans can expect indie-pop performances from Isabel Dumaa, timba and salsa music perfect for dancing from Los Jefes, and Jazz-pop sounds from Seldon.
SF Porchfest’s 2026 event featured over 100 acts across 18 venues in the Mission District, and the free music series is set to return in June 2027.
Hardly Strictly Bluegrass returns to Golden Gate Park next weekend, from October 2-4, 2026. The free, three-day music festival features dozens of artists, including My Morning Jacket and Gillian Welch & David Rawlings.
