Resy recently released The Resy 100, a list of restaurants that “define dining today” according to the reservation service. The list includes a wide range of eateries, from fine dining to cozy, neighborhood spots. Out of the 100 restaurants in the United States, 8 made the list in the Bay Area, and a San Francisco restaurant took the top spot. Liholiho Yacht Club was placed at #1, followed by Pêche in New Orleans and Lutèce in Washington, D.C.
Liholiho Yacht Club opened in 2015 in Lower Nob Hill, helmed by chef Ravi Kapu and Jeff Hanak, who had cofounded popular restaurant Nopa. Liholiho Yacht Club’s menu features plenty of shareable plates like tuna poke, daikon cake, and fried rice with kimchi mushrooms. You can also expect entrees like wagyu zabuton with mushroom and miso potato, swordfish katsu, and grilled cumin lamb. The restaurant also has an extensive drink menu, with creative cocktails featuring tropical flavors. You can also expect non-alcoholic cocktails, teas, and a selection of wines and sake.
While Liholiho Yacht Club topped the list, seven other restaurants in the Bay Area made the top 100. At #24 is Octavia, located in Pacific Heights, featuring new American cuisine with ingredients from local farms. Contemporary Thai restaurant Nari followed closely at #27, with an elevated menu and modern design. Izakaya Rintaro and Prubechu also made the list at #81 and #71, respectively.
Three East Bay restaurants were also featured, including Sirene, a popular seafood restaurant in Oakland serving dishes like Gnocchi Parisienne, black cod, and more. Ramen Shop in Oakland was placed at #41, and Berkeley’s Café Chez Panisse at #63.
