San Francisco’s beloved Corgi Con is a celebration of all things corgi at Ocean Beach, bringing hundreds of corgis and their owners to participate in contests, races, and more. It’ll all go down this Saturday, June 18 from 10am to 2pm between stairwells 2-5. You don’t need to own a corgi to enjoy the festivities as a spectator, because even cat people will find this adorable.
This special event often hosts up to a thousand Corgis for an epic doggy party. It includes a giant group picture with all the furry participants; a Corgi Ninja Warrior contest that puts those short little legs through their paces; a massive costume contest for creative corgi owners, and “Mickey’s Derby,” which pits the pooches against each other in speed races.
Here’s the official schedule of events for Saturday:
- 10am – Corgi Con Commences
- 12pm – Attempt at Group Photo
- 12:30pm – Corgi Ninja Warrior
- 1pm – Corgi Costume Contest
- 1:30pm – Mickey’s Derby aka Corgi Races!
- 2pm – Corgi Con Concludes
Corgi Con usually hosts 2 events a year – one in the summer and one in the fall. The last two years’ events were canceled as a result of Covid, so you better believe that this one will be an epic comeback! You can support Corgi Con by purchasing some adorable Corgi merch including event t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, masks, tumblers, doggy bandanas, and more.
RSVP to Corgi Con on Facebook and check it out on Saturday, June 18 from 10am-2pm between stairwells 2-5 at Ocean Beach.
