SFMOMA’s biggest party of the year is just around the corner. Their annual Art Bash is a swanky fundraiser for the modern art museum. It includes live music, drag and cabaret shows, drinks, and more, all within the beautiful museum.
The swanky event has four types of tickets for different parts of the night. The night begins with dinner, then the Premium party and Lounge, the regular party, and finally, the late-night event. Dinner is the priciest ticket, with the rest following in descending order.
Tierra Whack is the mainstage act for the event, and other performers include dancers from Alonzo King LINES Ballet, music by DJ Alex Shen, and DJ crew Sazon Libre. Artist Chelsea Ryoko Wong will create a popup installation for partygoers to enjoy while they dance and explore the museum.
A dinner ticket costs between $3,000-$10,000, including a tax-deductible donation between $800-9,800, and starts with a cocktail reception at 5 pm followed by dinner at 6 pm. Guests can enjoy dinner, cocktails, and a live auction led by a Christie’s auctioneer. Artist and filmaker Isaac Julien has made an immersive dining experience for guests as well.
A $250 party ticket gets you access starting at 8 pm and includes a tax-deductible donation of $150, and a $95 late-night party ticket starts at 10 pm with a tax-deductible donation of $25. Throughout the evening, all seven floors of the museum will burst into a raucous party with musical performances and immersive art experiences. Plus, there’s a special premium lounge designed by artist Richard Misrach. Tickets for the premium lounge and entrance to the party cost $500, with $350 being tax-deductible.
If you’re feeling up to a fun and fancy evening with SFMOMA, consider grabbing a ticket for Art Bash happening from 5 pm-1 am on Wednesday, April 24. The event is 21+ only, so make sure you bring a valid ID with you.
