Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is partially open for a drive-thru lights experience —and it looks like one magical ride!
Theme parks are one of the many activities that have been affected since the lockdown initially went into place. However, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo is giving enthusiasts a little taste of the park with its first-ever Holiday in the Park Drive-Thru Experience. It will run from now through January 31, giving guests ample time to make the most of the festive event.
While roller coasters aren’t in the cards, the many different dazzling zones throughout the 135-acre theme park are lined up to create one magical ride—from the safety of your vehicle, of course. This mesmerizing nighttime drive-through experience will feature millions of twinkling lights synchronized to cheerful holiday music.
You can also expect all your favorite Holiday in the Park decorations and characters. There’ll even be a “drive-by” with Santa and his elves. Some of the designated areas include Main Street Festival of Lights featuring the park’s iconic 65-foot holiday tree, Toy Land, Candy Cane Lane, Winter Wonderlane, Poinsettia Lane, and more!
No holiday experience is complete without souvenirs and sweet treats, so you’ll be able to purchase a number of wholesome holiday bundles which includes everything from 3D glasses that will bring the displays to life to handmade coaster candy fudge (in a range of flavors like peppermint bark and cookie dough). All packs will be delivered to your vehicle during the experience and as a bonus, with every Holiday Friends Bear purchased, one will be donated to a local children’s charity.
There will be a number of health and safety measures and attendees will need to be from the same household, with a minimum of two people per vehicle. Tickets start at $25 per person, depending on the date and membership status.
Dates:
Through January 3: open daily
January 3-31: open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays
