Stranger Things won 5 prizes at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards that took place last Sunday, September 4. The hit series received appraisal for Stunt Coordination, Sound Editing, Sound Mixing, Music Supervision and Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup on last season’s production. While it bagged those 5 honors, Stranger Things was also nominated for their realistic visual effects, stunt performances, production design and casting — among other categories.
Absent from these five awards were acknowledgements for the phenomenal acting performances this season. Sadie Sink, who played Max, especially raised the bar this past season *cues cult ‘Running Up That Hill’ scene* after being a sideline character for the past three chapters. Still, we were pleased to see that two of the Emmy wins went towards the episode, “Chapter Four: Dear Billy”, where Vecna’s terrifying world revealed itself to us on screen — so we’d consider that a win in itself.
As a way to celebrate the win, why not step into the acclaimed show yourself?
Journey into Hawkins circa 1985 and unravel the secrets of Hawkins Lab where Vecna and an army of demogorgons lurk around every corner. The experience will take you for a wild ride into the production, nominated as “outstanding drama series” by the 2022 Emmys.
