U.S. gas prices have peaked this week, and California is no exception, with the state’s average hitting $5.336 per gallon as of Wednesday — up from $4.736 this time last week.
While prices can vary greatly across different stations, Bay Area counties have some of the highest gas averages in the state, according to AAA’s daily fuel price map. San Francisco’s average rose to $5.597 today, although San Mateo still has the highest average in the Bay Area at $5.614.
Solano County, however, has clocked in with the lowest average in the Bay Area at $5.331, which is just under California’s average.
Cheapest Bay Area gas stations right now
According to gas station finder app GasBuddy, the cheapest gas stations in the Bay Area today (March 11th) are as follows. You can find three of them on Alhambra Avenue in Martinez.
