It’s well known that the Michelin Guide helps define the best restaurants in the world, and a San Francisco restaurant was just added to the prestigious list.
7 Adams opened in 2023, serving a multi-course menu created by Chefs David Fisher and Serena Chow Fisher. The restaurant was added to the Michelin Guide, with the iconic culinary reviewers noting the “…unfussy Californian simplicity, featuring solid technique and thoughtful flavor combinations….” as standout features. This aligns with the designer of the restaurant, Chad Kellogg, who wanted to create a “white tablecloth culinary experience without white tablecloths.”
What makes the restaurant unique is the 5-course menu, offered at just $87 per person. It’s not hard to find a delicious multi-course offering in SF, but at that price point, it definitely is notable. The menu is subject to change, but diners can look forward to squash ravioli, black truffle ricotta gnudi, and roasted cod. For dessert, you can choose from a Hojicha sponge cake or a classic apple crumb cake.
If you want to indulge a little more, you can score a seat at the Chef’s Counter, which only seats 6 nightly. The menu changes frequently, serving 8 to 10 courses over several hours each. The price point is higher than their typical 5-course meal at $157 per person, with the option to add a wine pairing to the experience.
Chef’s David Fisher and Serena Chow bring years of experience to the new restaurant. The couple opened Marlena in 2020, which earned a coveted Michelin Star just a year later in 2021. Their first culinary project together was a 12-course popup in New York City.
7 Adams is located at 1963 Sutter Street, in San Francisco, and is open Monday through Thursday, 5:30 to 9 pm; Friday and Saturday, 5 to 10 pm; and Sunday, 5 to 9 pm. We recommend getting a reservation for the restaurant on their website.
