While the Bay Area doesn’t exactly turn into a snow-covered winter wonderland for the holidays (we tend to get more fog and rain this time of year), there are still plenty of ways to embrace the winter season here. South of San Francisco, the Four Seasons in Palo Alto creates a luxurious winter village, perfect for a mini escape right at the hotel.
The Après Village is a winter tradition at the hotel, and it opens this weekend, on Friday, November 21. The village is stocked with cozy, semi-private mini “chalets” for groups, complete with fireplaces, blankets, and even TVs. Each chalet is decorated with a theme, such as the Nutcracker, Santa’s Workshop, a gingerbread house, and more. Renting out a chalet is $150, and dinner at the winter village is $95 per person for the prix-fixe menu.

You can also have a prix-fix menu featuring soup, charcuterie boards, truffled potato gratin, wagyu beef sliders, and more. Plus, you can expect seasonal desserts such as an apple tart or roasted marshmallows. For a more casual meal option, we recommend checking out the food truck on site.
The hotel also offers other festive events, such as a gingerbread house workshop, and special holiday dining options for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve.
The Four Seasons is a world-renowned luxury hotel company with global locations. This Palo Alto location is less than an hour from San Francisco by car, although there is also a location in the heart of SF. You can find Palo Alto’s Four Seasons at 2050 University Ave in East Palo Alto. The village will open this weekend and will operate through the New Year until January 4, 2026.
