Halloween is almost here, and San Francisco is full of fun events and parties to celebrate. One particularly unique event to check out this year is the California Academy of Sciences Thursday night party, NightLife, which will host a special Halloween-themed event with drinks, drag, and more.
Fright NightLife

On Thursday evenings, the science museum stays open late to host 21+ parties with cocktails and special programming. This year, you can start your Halloween celebrations a little early with the museum’s Halloween party on October 29.
Partygoers can expect live performances from Peaches Christ and The Ghouls of Terror Vault on the main stage, while scare actors and vampires roam the museum. You can also get your face painted or a temporary tattoo, commemorate the night with photo opportunities, and browse a themed marketplace. Plus, the party will feature a tarot reader and a zombie-themed gaming zone. In the East Garden, Off the Grid Food Trucks will offer bites to eat.
Costumes are highly encouraged for the party, so be sure to break out your best Halloween getup. Tickets cost $26 each, or $5 for EBT cardholders. Fright NightLife will run from 6 to 10 pm at the California Academy of Sciences and is only for those 21 and up.
The museum will host a family-friendly party on Saturday, October 24, with a silent disco, rides, and trick-or-treating. We recommend booking your tickets early on the California Academy of Sciences website.
