The California Academy of Sciences is home to many fascinating educational exhibitions, including a planetarium, rainforest sphere, and a natural history museum. One of the best ways to explore the museum is during their after-hours events on Thursday evenings. The museum transforms into a party with special activations, drinks, and more.
This month, the museum is throwing a particularly exciting after-hours night event, with a Renaissance Faire theme.
kNightLife: Renaissance Faire

On June 18, the California Academy of Sciences will host their regular NightLife event, with a fun twist. The Ren Faire themed party will feature plenty of exciting programs, including storytelling about mermaids in the Aquarium, and performances from the Guild of St. George and the Bella Donna Courtesans in the East Garden.
Attendees can also expect English country dance lessons, a leather crafting station, and even falconry in the West Garden. You can request a personalized sonnet or poem in the grand hall while browsing through handmade goods by local merchants. Finally, head to the Planetarium for a lesson on medieval astronomy.

As usual, you can expect a variety of food and drinks available for purchase, including several food trucks curated by Off the Grid. If you can’t make it to the Renaissance Faire party, there are still plenty of exciting NightLife events on the museum’s calendar. Another highlight this June is a Pride NightLife event on June 25.
NightLife is a 21 and older event, so be sure to bring your ID to the museum with you. Tickets are $25 each, and we recommend getting yours soon. You can learn more and buy tickets here.
