Every fall, the Castro Street Fair shuts down several blocks in the Castro, lining them with hundreds of local artists, vendors, organizations, and multiple stages with live performances. The 2025 rendition fair is this weekend, on Sunday, October 5, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Castro Street. The street fair is a major fundraiser for charitable organizations, and a donation of $10-20 is recommended for entry.

About the Castro Street Fair
The Castro Street Fair is in its 51st year, and was originally founded by Harvey Milk as a way to promote the queer businesses in the neighborhood and build community. The fair is a nonprofit, and the proceeds go to local charities and causes. Since 1998, the fair has donated over $1 million to the beneficiary organizations. The beneficiaries for 2025 include local schools, Castro Community On Patrol (CCOP), Imperial Council of San Francisco, Instituto Familiar de la Raza (IFR – Sí a la Vida), Maitri Compassionate Care, San Francisco CASA (SFCASA), and more. You can find the full list of beneficiaries here.
