Last year, the legendary Gilroy Gardens introduced a brand-new event, the Cherry Jubilee—a month-long celebration packed with family-friendly entertainment and a wide array of cherry-inspired food and drinks.
The festival proved so popular that it earned the prestigious Brass Ring Award for Best New Food & Beverage Event from the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA).
Now, Cherry Jubilee returns to Gilroy Gardens for its second year, bringing an expanded lineup of fresh cherry recipes, imaginative games, live performances, and more.
Visitors can experience it starting Friday, June 5th, all the way through July 5th, 2026.
Families can expect an exciting selection of special activities throughout the park’s charming, produce-themed setting:
- More than 50 cherry-infused food and beverage options, including 30 brand-new creations. Highlights include cherry teriyaki skewers, turkey legs with cherry BBQ sauce, cherry-seasoned fries, fruity cocktails, deep-fried cheesecake topped with cherry sauce, and more.
- Live entertainment from the Merry Cherry Bunch, featuring storytime sessions and comedic performances.
- Hands-on STEM activities, such as math-focused baking challenges and interactive mini games.
- Cherry Dome Challenges, including roller skating and classic pitch-and-win games.
- A Fourth of July celebration offering all-you-can-eat barbecue.
Visiting Gilroy Gardens
First opened in 2001 as Bonfante Gardens, Gilroy Gardens is celebrated for its gentle, horticulture-themed rides and water attractions, especially suited for families with young children.
Spanning 536 acres, the park features beautifully designed landscapes with over 10,000 trees, including the renowned hand-crafted “Circus Trees.” The grounds are divided into six unique garden areas connected by serene walking paths, creating an atmosphere closer to a relaxed botanical garden with rides than a high-thrill amusement park.
Gilroy Gardens is located about a 1.5-hour drive from San Francisco via Highway 101.
