In the last few weeks, a massive sea lion has gone viral for sunbathing at San Francisco’s famous Pier 39. The sea lion quickly captured the internet’s heart and is affectionately known as “Chonkers” (a fitting name for his huge size compared to the other sea lions on the pier).
Chonker’s is a Steller Sea Lion, which can grow up to 2,500 pounds and 11 feet long. Compared to the California Sea Lions, which typically populate K-dock, which are up to 850 pounds and 7 feet long, Chonkers’ size difference is very noticeable.

Now, as the obsession with Chonkers has spread across the internet, the Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito has created an adorable Chonkers plush for its devoted fans. The stuffed animal is available for pre-order and costs $39.95. Purchasing the plush supports the Marine Mammal Center, which is a non-profit that rescues and rehabilitates marine mammals.
The center also offers various other adorable plush toys, such as sea lions, seals, and more. You can check out their selection here.
