Christmas in the Park is in full swing this year, but you’ll want to make sure you pay a visit before everything closes on January 1, 2023! Lake Cunningham Park in San Jose has been decked out with 2 acres of sparkling holiday lights decorated by local schools, businesses, and community groups.
You can explore the displays via Blinky’s Illuminated Holiday, their beloved drive-thru experience which invites guests to take a trip through a glowing winter wonderland; or via the Downtown Park Walk-Through with plenty of exhibits and more at Cesar Chavez Plaza.
Blinky’s Holiday Drive-Thru
Follow Blinky the reindeer through a wild musical journey by car, where you’ll pass through a mind-blowing light tunnel and enjoy a “mile of smiles,” a synchronized light show with millions of colors. Discover 12 different themed lands with a 50-foot Giving Tree, a melting snowman, caroling mice, and elf woodcrafters… plus Santa’s Snack Shack at the north end of the park. Tickets are $30 per car.
Christmas in the Park
San Jose’s Christmas in the Park programming dates back to 1950, and it’s still outdoing itself. This year, check out a walk-through Christmas tree towering 65 feet above Cesar Chavez Plaza, plus new light displays and more surprises. A community stage will host a variety of acts including local choirs, bands, dance troupes, and special holiday movie nights.
Don’t forget to take a look at the Enchanted Forest trees, a collection of community-decorated trees for non-profits, local groups, in memoriam, and more.
In 2019, Christmas in the Park raised over $200,000 for local and national non-profit organizations. Get involved in this beloved event to play your part and support the Bay Area community.
Be sure to grab tickets to Blinky’s Illuminated Holiday drive-thru, and check out other fun events coming up at Christmas in the Park in San Jose. All of the displays will come down on January 1, 2023, so act fast!
