San Francisco’s Cole Valley is closing down several neighborhood blocks this Sunday, September 27, for the return of the annual Cole Valley Fair.
The event, now in its 23rd year, runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and transforms Cole Street between Frederick and Grattan streets, plus Parnassus Avenue between Shrader and Belvedere streets, into a pedestrian-friendly festival. More than 90 vendors are slated to take over the 5-block stretch with local goods, handmade art, food booths, community resources, and activities for all ages.
The fair gives residents and visitors an opportunity to pick up a handmade gift from local makers, grab a snack from on-site food vendors, catch live performances, or simply spend an early-fall Sunday outdoors.
Organizers are also planning a photo display that highlights Cole Valley’s history, offering a closer look at how the neighborhood has changed over the years. Car enthusiasts can check out a vintage-car display, which will fill an entire block with classic vehicles owned by Cole Valley residents.
The Cole Valley Fair is presented by the Cole Valley Improvement Association and Sunset Mercantile, with support from the Cole Valley Merchants Association.
