Cole Valley is located just at the edge of Golden Gate Park, nestled between the Haight-Ashbury and Ashbury Heights. The small but charming neighborhood is known for its popular restaurants and bars like Zazies and Woods. The neighborhood has recently been hosting some lovely free block parties, bringing together local vendors, entertainment, and more.
Cole Valley Nights August 2026
The next Cole Valley Nights is on Thursday, August 20, from 4 to 9 pm. The market and street party takes over the neighborhood’s main commercial corridor on Cole Street, between Carl and Parnassus Avenues. This month’s event is State Fair-themed, complete with a pie-baking contest. The contest is limited to the first 25 sign-ups, and spots are still available.
The August event will also feature carnival games, live music, and local vendors. Plus, attendees 21 and over can enjoy to-go beverages within the Cole Valley entertainment zone during the event. While you’re in the neighborhood, we recommend stopping by Woods for a beer or glass of wine, and even a burger from Lovely’s. The next Cole Valley Nights will be a holiday celebration on Thursday, December 10.
We recommend taking public transit to the neighborhood party, as it may be difficult to find parking due to the street closures.
